In this hypothetical rebrand/expansion, Tribeca Film Festival has already established themselves in New York City so they are looking to expand to a wider audience. TriFilm is the traveling expansion. By investigating major film festivals we realized what key parts of the festival needed to stay and what areas needed improvement.
The Festival’s mission is to help filmmakers reach the broadest possible audience, enable the international film community and general public to experience the power of cinema and promote New York City as a major filmmaking center.
Guests will experience much more than just movies. Interactive experiences catered to their culture, Tribeca Talks in which industry professionals and up and coming talent share their knowledge, as well as world premieres that could be the next big hit. But most importantly, the films are chosen from over 11,000 submissions and are from every corner of the globe.
Created by Carlos Oliveras Colom and Nancy Nystrom.

A tool that provides assistance on a daily basis of a color blind person to make them feel comfortable and safe, when decisions need to be taken
With the desire of diving in the world of typography and hand lettering. I decided to create a series of spanglish "e cards" for everyday during the month of February.
All of them though out and designed by Don Carlos: The Latin Lover, aka an alter ego of mine. Don Carlos taking over Carlos' social media accounts has distributed them for the enjoyment of friends and followers.
This project was born after I was asked to select a word to be screen printed that described myself as a person. I chose a word that linked me with my life at home and described me as a person, that word was "sin vergüenza" which means "shameless".
Later on we were asked to create a whole clothing brand, for which we had to design and screen print three shirt designs. Also we had to create a whole branding system and look book; so shamelessly I did.
For when kids decide to pop that hard question to answer of "Where do babies come from?", I decided to create a booklet to take care of that. Easy to read with moderate visuals and language. That at the same time would loop and start the story again.
For this project I was offered the opportunity to collaborate with the very special "Llamanauts" on their Senior Thesis. The Llamanauts are a group of three ladies that were looking for a logo and end cards to complete their computer animation thesis.
This being a fun and out of the curriculum project I was pretty stocked to pe part of it. I decided to do a typeface specially to fit the retro style of the film—after doing research and a series of explorations.
The film has been featured and won multiple awards. What would a book do without a cover?
Have you ever needed a code to keep peace between you and the other human beings in your living space? This seven week long social media campaign ran from October-December 2013 and tried to mend roommate issues by creating fun and engaging posts that offered solutions.
Taking patterns and puzzles as inspiration. I created a letter-pressed interactive self–promotion piece.
